Izabela specialises in commercial, restructuring and bankruptcy law as well as in investment agreements. Her interests include business consultancy and restructuring processes for entrepreneurs.

Experience

Before joining our team, Izabela worked for a procedural law firm, for a transfer pricing team, as well as for a law firm that is part of an international network of independent companies providing legal, tax and financial services. She has advised on the restructuring and division of partnerships and limited companies, participated in a number of due diligence audits as well as the development of various commercial transactions that included aspects of tax and balance sheet law.

Izabela has experience in conducting bankruptcy and restructuring proceedings that allow clients to take advantage of the solutions made available by law.

A graduate of the Faculty of Law and the Faculty of History and Sociology at the University of Bialystok, Izabela qualified as an attorney-at-law at the Warsaw Bar Association. She is also a qualified restructuring advisor and has completed a postgraduate qualification in Tax and Tax Law Studies at the Faculty of Law of the University of Warsaw as well as the Fundamentals of Accountancy course organised by the Accountants Association in Poland, the first level of the accounting certification.

  • representing a digital startup in the investment process, with an anticipated investment commitment of USD $1.5m,
  • supporting negotiations for startups within the framework of the Polish Development Fund Starter (FIZ) and National Centre for Research and Development (NCBiR) programs,
  • participating in the restructuring, division and mergers of partnerships and companies,
  • advising on corporate financing processes, including the private issue of corporate bonds,
  • formation of alternative investment company, including registering its management with the Polish Financial Supervision Authority (KNF), and preparing the company structure and the investment agreement for future investment activity.
